Contract sorting and containment work

Sometimes the fastest practical answer is not a new machine. It is a controlled sorting, verification, or pack-out process with clear criteria and organized handoff.

Contract sorting and containment work

Not every quality problem should start with a new fixture or automation project. Sometimes the urgent need is containment, recovery, separation, relabeling, light assembly, or pack-out support while the process is still being understood.

Contract sorting can be the practical first move when timing, uncertainty, or volume makes capital equipment hard to justify right away. A suspect lot may need cleanup. Mixed parts may need separation. A customer requirement may need verification before shipment.

The key is that the work still needs criteria. SSI runs sorting and light assembly from customer-defined acceptance rules, documented handling instructions, verification steps, label or packaging requirements, and output expectations. The goal is not ad hoc operator judgment. The goal is a defined process that can be executed, checked, and handed off cleanly.
That makes contract sorting useful before a fixture is fully defined. It can reveal the real defect modes, variation in incoming material, ambiguous pass/fail boundaries, expected throughput, rework volume, packaging constraints, and traceability needs.

Contract sorting is a strong fit for containment sorting, suspect-lot cleanup, mixed-part separation, defect removal, kitting, light subassembly, relabel work, repack programs, and labor-heavy output control where the work can be documented.

If you are deciding between outsourced containment and a new fixture, send photos, samples, pass/fail criteria, quantities, timing, packaging needs, and any label or traceability requirements. SSI can help decide whether the practical first move is contract sorting, light assembly, CNC support, or a new automation project.
